Geneva Healthcare at Disability & Age Friendly Awareness Day

We recently had a great opportunity to showcase our services at the Disability & Age Friendly Awareness Expo with Hon Carmel Sepuloni, Minister of Social Development and Disability Issues. The aim of the event was to raise awareness of disability, physical, intellectual and mental health services available in our communities. At Geneva, we offer a wide range of Flexible Disability Support services that give you and your family real choice, real care and real peace of mind.  We provide Rehabilitation Services,  Supported Employment (Skills Training and Job Placement), Residential options, as well as flexible Individualised Funding Support to enable everyone to live their best lives possible whatever their disability may be.

Minister Carmel Sepuloni highlighted the importance of improving accessibility for everyone, access to services, information, as well as having transport, footpaths and buildings accessible for all. Achieving this will help make everyday life a lot easier for people with disability.

At Geneva, we believe that we can make a real difference in our communities by supporting Diversity and Inclusion activations – from our 24/7 wrap around support services to hosting community disability events such as the upcoming Colour Cruise in June. Geneva Healthcare’s Colour Cruise is the annual ‘Round The Bays’ for our disability sector. It’s a celebration of life with the added colour and excitement of this year’s theme ‘Race of Champions’.  After the races, attendees are treated to a lunch followed by prize giving, music, games and entertainment.  To know more about Geneva’s Colour Cruise Event for our Disability sector and how to participate visit: https://www.genevahealth.com/genevas-colour-cruise/

The Expo, hosted by Independent Living Charitable Trust, was a real success. There were many new and existing relationships built and strengthened as a result of our participation in this event.
