Support Worker | Whanganui

We’re seeking Support Workers with a gentle and loving personality who are comfortable around Dogs and can work one-on-one with clients to support their individual needs and goals in Whanganui Region. As a Support Worker, you’ll have the opportunity to make a positive impact on our clients’ lives, supporting them to live their best life possible.

Key Requirements for Support Worker:

  • Assist clients with personal cares
  • Ability to handle cares independently and confidently
  • Ability to handle challenging behaviours
  • Must have a clean and valid NZ driving licence
  • Must be eligible to work in NZ
  • Subject to clean police clearance check
  • Able to commit to the shifts
  • Healthcare qualification of Level 3 or above
  • Training will be provided
  • Competency in emergency management

Tasks:

  • Personal cares including showering, dressing & toileting.
  • Feeding breakfast and lunch.
  • Mobility, positioning, grooming, and home help.
  • Meal preparation, assisting with passive exercise.
  • Changing Catheter Bag
  • Transfer through hoist

Monday:
7.30 AM to 8.30 AM / 1.00 PM to 2.00 PM / 7.00 PM to 8.00 PM
Tuesday: 7.00 AM to 9.00 AM / 11.30 AM to 12.30 PM / 7.00 PM to 8.00 PM
Wednesday: 7.00 AM to 10.30 AM / 1.00 PM to 2.00 PM / 3.30 PM to 4.30 PM / 7.00 PM to 8.00 PM
Thursday: 7.00 AM to 8.00 AM / 12.00 PM to 1.00 PM / 7.00 PM to 8.00 PM
Friday: 7.00 AM to 10.30 AM / 1.00 PM to 2.00 PM
Saturday: 7.00 AM to 9.30 AM / 7.00 PM to 8.00 PM / 8.00 PM to 9.00 PM
Sunday: 7.00 AM to 9.00AM / 7.00 PM to 8.00 PM / 8.00 PM to 9.00 PM

*With an opportunity to pick up more shifts.
