Support Worker | Whanganui

We are currently looking for experienced Support Workers to work with our client based in Whanganui. Due to the intimate nature of the cares, we are looking for someone who has experienced in taking care of other people like elderly, children, or disabled patients. Our client is unable to take care of themselves and hence need support with their daily routines. Due to the complexity of the cares, commitment to the shifts is vital.

This is a role where no two days are the same. You will have the ability to work one on one with our clients, to ensure they live their best life possible.

Requirements:

  • Previous experience handling elderly, children, or disabled patients.
  • Competency in emergency management.
  • Assisting clients with personal cares
  • Confident to handle cares independently.
  • Must have a clean and valid NZ driving licence.
  • Must be eligible to work in NZ.
  • Subject to clean police clearance check
  • Able to commit to the shifts.
  • Training will be provided.

Tasks:

  • Personal cares, meal preparation, assisting with medication if required.
  • Bathing, feeding & developmental therapies.
  • Mobility, positioning, grooming, and home help.

Shifts:

Tuesday to Sunday 8.00am-5.00pm / 8.00am-8.00pm
*with an opportunity to pick up more shifts.
