The Role: PACU I Theatre Nurse

We are seeking experienced PACU or Theatre Nurse to support a 3 month pilot, working Monday to Friday, 0830 – 1700 (hours can be flexible).

You will be assisting the anaesthetists that work at many hospitals around Auckland. Full training and free parking will be provided.

Responsibilities include:

• Patient Assessment and Preparation:

Reviewing medical history, conducting physical assessments, and assessing patient readiness for surgery.

• Patient Education:

Explaining the surgical process, answering questions, and addressing concerns to alleviate anxiety.

• Collaboration:

Working with anaesthesiologists to ensure patient safety and optimal care.

• Documentation:

Maintaining accurate and detailed patient records throughout the perioperative process.

What you will bring | Nga tohungatanga mo tenei turanga

• New Zealand Registered Nurse with a current Annual Practicing Certificate
• At least 2 years recent RN experience (anaesthetic)
• Proven passion for and desire to provide outstanding care to patients
• Must have a valid CPR
