We’re seeking a talented and motivated Occupational Therapist to join our Hawkes Bay Wellness and Rehab team as a contractor.

About the Role | He kōrero mō tēnei tūranga

This is a contracting position for a registered Occupational Therapist to join our team in Hawkes Bay. You will be working across a number of clients mostly from ACC, previous experience in wheelchair and seating and complex housing would be a real advantage. You will have the opportunity to be a part of our client’s rehabilitation journey and see the results of your work. You’ll be working in schools, homes, businesses and the wider community so we are looking for a candidate who gets a real kick out of collaboration and supporting clients across their recovery.

This contracting role Is referral dependent and at this stage requires approximately 0.5 FTE per week.

The successful candidate will be required to travel across the Hawkes Bay region so you will need to be comfortable driving and have a full clean NZ drivers licence.

What you will bring | Ngā tohungatanga mō tēnei tūranga

  • 2+ years’ experience as a NZ Registered Occupational Therapist

  • Experience In Wheelchair and Seating & Complex Housing would be an advantage

  • Understanding of, and commitment to Te Tiriti o Waitangi.

  • Current NZ Registration with OTBNZ

  • Passion to continue to learn and grow.

  • Excellent communication skills.

  • Ability to work well in a team.

  • An awareness of Health Legislation and the NZ health funding systems.

  • Ability to travel and work autonomously.
