Are you a dedicated Occupational Therapist who thrives on making a difference in clients’ lives within their own homes and communities? We have an exciting position available in our well-established community-based rehabilitation team, where you’ll manage a diverse caseload across ACC-funded and private services.
In this role, you’ll have the opportunity to develop specialised skills in areas such as complex spinal cord injury, neuro rehabilitation, housing assessment, and wheelchair and seating assessment.

Role Overview | He kōrero whakamārama mō tēnei tūranga
This permanent role in Gisborne offers the chance to work with a variety of clients and contracts. You’ll work in homes, community settings, and workplaces, providing a dynamic and people-focused role. Collaborate with a skilled MDT team, including Occupational Therapists, Physiotherapists, Psychologists, Nurses, Dieticians, and Social Workers, all supported by an experienced referrals and management team.
Although based in Gisborne, this role requires travel to Wairoa.
What You’ll Bring | Ngā tohungatanga mō tēnei tūranga
3+ years of experience as a NZ Registered Occupational Therapist
Rehabilitation experience- paediatrics would be advantageous
Clinical skills and a rehab interest in working with clients with concussion/traumatic brain injury, spinal cord injury, acute orthopaedical injury, mental injury, etc.
Understanding and commitment to Te Tiriti o Waitangi
Current NZ Registration with NZOT
Valid driver’s license and ability to navigate the community
Excellent communication skills
Team player with awareness of Health Legislation and NZ health funding systems
Ability to travel and work autonomously
