About the role | He korero whakamarama mo tenei turanga

As part of this growing Support Worker Operations team, you will be responsible for recruitment, guaranteed hours management, and operations support of support workers for the Home and Community Support Services within Geneva Health. Responsibilities include:

  • Source candidates for open vacancies, via both traditional advertising and pro-active search methods
  • Screen, vet and appoint new Support Workers, ensuring their onboarding and induction process is timely and enjoyable
  • Managing Support Worker Guaranteed Hours including updating agreements, consultation and negotiation
  • Managing support worker leave and other HR processes
  • Working closely with the Service Centre and Service Delivery functions.

You may be a recent graduate with an interest in human resources or recruitment, or perhaps you have already gained some recruitment administration experience and are ready to take the next step in your career? Your upbeat and motivated attitude will see you succeed in this role, as will your passion for making sure every candidate has a positive experience.

  • Experience in a recruitment or HR administration role
  • Well organised and goal-driven
  • A passion and expertise for working collaboratively and developing skills in others
  • Excellent interpersonal, communication and influencing skills
  • An Understanding of the principles of the Treaty of Waitangi and how these can be applied
  • A love of problem solving combined with resilience to cope with the unexpected or difficult situations
  • Excellent planning and organisational skills
