Keeping care connected when it matters most

In home and community support, every shift represents someone relying on care to be there when they need it. When a kaimahi (support worker) is unexpectedly unavailable, responding quickly is essential to ensure kiritaki (clients) and their whānau continue to receive consistent, uninterrupted support.

Piki was developed to help meet this challenge.

By combining technology with the knowledge, experience, and dedication of our people, Piki helps our teams communicate more efficiently, identify available kaimahi, and match the right support to the people who need it most.

Integrated with Geneva Healthcare’s Care Call system and the Geneva Live app, Piki streamlines the way our teams manage unplanned leave, helping them spend less time coordinating shifts and more time focused on providing quality care.

Innovation making a real difference

Since its introduction, Piki has supported the coordination of more than 16,500 shifts and thousands of coverage requests across Geneva Healthcare’s services.

Its impact, however, extends well beyond the numbers.

Piki has helped create more consistent experiences for kiritaki and whānau, provided additional opportunities for kaimahi, and demonstrated how thoughtfully designed technology can strengthen the work of people delivering care every day.

Piki is the result of collaboration across our operational teams, technology partners and the many people who contributed their ideas, expertise, and feedback throughout its development.
