A leading light in healthcare, Geneva Healthcare is proudly 100% New Zealand owned and operated. Right across our nation, we provide a wide range of services – from quality home, community and disability services and NZQA training, through to community nursing and complete health staffing.
We exist to care for the injured, ill, elderly and disabled people of New Zealand, and the other organisations who also support them.
Our depth and breadth of experience is unparalled in New Zealand. We pride ourselves on best-in-class healthcare, whether developing staffing and service solutions for a complex organisation, or helping to improve the life of an individual client.
Our proud history dates back to 1972, when (then as Lampen Associates) we specialised in industrial and professional services staffing. When a need for temporary and permanent health professionals in the public and private health sectors became apparent, we set up a dedicated health staffing division.
Nationally and internationally, our reputation for finding the best medical staff grew, and by the year 2000, we had become Geneva Health – the largest supplier of health professionals in New Zealand.
Today, we are also the leading provider of homecare and community support services in our nation. And to better reflect our range of services, we bear the name Geneva Healthcare.
The Geneva Healthcare family is a passionate team of over 100 strong. Skilled and highly professional, our staff bring extensive experience within the current healthcare environment. Geneva Healthcare also recruits across the entire spectrum of occupational groups – including nursing, clinical support and non-clinical support roles as well as clinical management and senior management positions.
As well as offices in Auckland and internationally, we now have regional offices right across New Zealand. Local support and service is important to us. You will find Geneva Healthcare in Whangarei, Albany, Hamilton, Tauranga, Napier, Palmerston North, New Plymouth, Wellington, Nelson, Christchurch and Dunedin, with services extending throughout the surrounding areas.
We are proud to be the preferred provider to over 40 organisations throughout New Zealand - including District Health Boards, Private Hospitals, Aged Care Providers, Mental Health and Intellectual Disability, Community Based Providers, ACC and private clients. We have held contracts with some of these key clients for over 14 years.
Internationally, too, Geneva Healthcare has become a trusted name. In London, and throughout Australia and the Middle East, we are the preferred provider and employer for a wide range of health organisations and health professionals alike, fulfilling major staff supply contracts.
Geneva Healthcare is one of the largest providers of homecare services in New Zealand, and we have held a contract for Home and Community Support Services (HCSS) with ACC for over 12 years. In 2012 we were one of only four organisations to be awarded a national contract with ACC for the provision of homecare services, after a rigorous tendering and verification process. Geneva also holds a Ministry of Health Under 65 Disability Support Services contract nationally.
Through our own extensive national network of home support workers and nurses we are able to provide economies of scale through efficiencies in service delivery. Proven processes, optimised infrastructure and exceptionally managed subcontractor relationships are our keys to top quality outcomes for our clients.
In addition to homecare services, Geneva Healthcare holds a number of preferred provider staffing contracts with DHBs and NGOs across New Zealand, including a nationwide Community Nursing contract with ACC.
Geneva Healthcare is recognised as a leader of training and education services and has a strong relationship and high level of credibility with CareerForce. We were the first organisation to embed the NZQA Level 2 & Level 3 Home and Community Support Training into our staff orientation, and every one of our care support workers is accredited.
Ministry of Social Development Pilot
Continual improvement and growth is as important to our organisation as it is to our clients and those in our care. In 2012, we developed a relationship with the Ministry of Social Development, piloting a programme which assisted WINZ clients to transition to permanent employment. The course provided entry level training that allowed beneficiaries to work as a Caregiver in an aged care facility. This was well received by clients, who saw the Straight to Work for Caregivers programme as an excellent initiative, recognising the benefit of having access to additional workforce in a fast-growing sector.
Geneva Internet Ordering System (GenIOS)
Purpose-designed for our industry, and to make working with Geneva easier and quicker, the GenIOS website portal enables users to book staff online, check for updates on staff bookings, view timesheets and invoices, and access insightful reports.
To support this new technology, Geneva runs a database that is integrated with our online system, so any orders placed online are immediately notified to the Geneva bookings team, and work can start on finding the best person for your shift instantly. As soon as your shift is filled, the status is updated on your bookings summary page in real time.
We have eliminated the need for numerous phone calls or emails – everything you need is available right at your fingertips, online. It’s all part of our commitment to making working with us easy and effortless.
Geneva Healthcare is also proud to have won the Favourite Large Specialist Recruiter award at the SEEK Annual Recruitment Awards (SARAs) in 2008, 2009 and in 2010. In 2011, 2012 and 2013 we were honoured with the SARA Legend Award.
