Geneva Healthcare provides ACC, DHB and MOH funded Nursing Services and Support Worker care for client’s rehabilitating in their own homes and community, including home-help, childcare and high level needs care.

About the Role

Geneva Healthcare is currently looking for a permanent/part time Clinical Coordinator to cover our nursing services in the Whangarei Region. You will have your own case of clients with short to long term care needs, primarily those recovering from illness or injury, older adult or disability (predominantly spinal cord or traumatic brain injury).

Duties include:

  • On-site development of service plans, including household management, personal cares, manual handling, pressure areas
  • Risk assessment and management
  • Medical plans and Community linkages

Our key requirements are:

  • A Registered Nurse with current APC and New Zealand experience
  • Preferably up to five years New Zealand post-graduate experience including one year in the community, primary health, rehabilitation, disability or aged care sector
  • Wound and catheter care experience
  • Great communication and interpersonal skills
  • Proven skills in health assessment, planning and goal setting
  • A full Driver’s License
  • Demonstrated ability to work collaboratively with other professionals and the aged care/disability sector to maximise health outcomes and goal achievements for client’s and their families.
  • Confidence in managing IT applications and the ability to report regularly on services provided and outcomes achieved.
