We are currently recruiting for Support Workers who have experience in the mental health sector to support our clients to live their best life. A typical day will be providing assistance with home help, meal preparation and personal cares as well as taking clients out into the community.
Benefit from free training towards a qualification in Healthcare, as well as support from a team that cares for you like family.
Shifts available and it is preferable that you can be flexible:
Churton Park area on Saturday for 4 hours and Sunday 2.5 hours
Te Aro area Monday to Friday from 5.30pm, Vulnerable Childs Act clearance will be required
Lower Hutt area caring for a Tetraplegia Mondays – 1pm – 8pm, Saturday 3pm-9pm
Personal cares Meal prep and home help
Community outings and companionship
Skills, experience & requirements
Previous experience as a Support Worker, preferably with clients with intellectual disability Ability to start ASAP A valid drivers license and reliable transport
Be a NZ citizen/permanent resident or have a relevant work or student visa
Can satisfactorily pass a Police Vetting for Vulnerable Children’s Act
Provide two work related (manager) referees
Access to a computer with Wi-Fi for further on-line learning
