Our colourful day

Our colourful day Cruise the Bays went off with a bang yesterday. The marquee went up as the music was pumping, and the participants, members of the Geneva Healthcare family and friends, lined up at the start line ready to race. The horn was blasted and away they went, racing to Kelly Tarltons and back to the Mission Bay fountain!

With the race over and the last participant crossing the finish line, the fun certainly didn’t stop there. The colour throw was up next, with colour powder being thrown into the air to cover those involved in bright splashes of colour.

We want to thank everyone who made it down yesterday, whether you were participating, volunteering, or organising; the day would not have been the same without each and every one of your smiling faces. The participants, who came from all over to get involved, brought with them heaps of energy and made the day so great. Big thanks also needs to go to the organising committee and the volunteers who worked extremely hard to ensure the day went off without a hitch.

The winners of the race were awarded with some spectacular prizes, and we had some delicious food to refuel post-race – we would like to thank the following sponsors who kindly donated prizes and food, making the day all the more exciting:
The Cerebral Palsy Society, Pump Water, Countdown, Attainable Trust, The Breakers, Sport Auckland, Brooke Howard-Smith, Whittaker’s, The Blues, The Square Café, Gourmet Burger & Brew, Edwards & Co, Mecca Stonehouse Café, and Glendowie College.

Stay tuned for the photos coming shortly!
