Need to complete IELTS or the OET to get registration in another country?
In order to meet the English Language Requirement with the
Nursing and Midwifery Board of Australia, registration applicants
must obtain the required pass marks in either the International
English Language Testing System (IELTS) or Occupational English
Test (OET).
You will see that the OET is considerably more expensive to sit
than the IELTS. However, the general consensus is that the OET is
marginally easier to pass than the IELTS.
When booking in for an IELTS or OET test all sorts of questions
will be running through your head. The following links are an
overview of each of the process each test involves, from booking
and applying for a test date, awaiting confirmation of this test
date, studying for the test, and sitting and obtaining your
results. We attempt to clarify some of the questions you may
have.
