The Benefits

lanternsMany New Zealand health professionals consider Saudi Arabia as an option at some stage in their career - and of course for many different reasons:  tax free income, travel and adventure!

In addition to these things another huge draw card for many seeking work in Saudi Arabia is the "benefits package" the "bits" that sit outside of your salary. Although there are some variations between different employers and the types of position, all of the hospitals we currently work with in Saudi Arabia offer these benefits to Western recruited staff. All of our contracts are normally for a minimum of 12 months although some do offer added incentives to sign on for two years.  Those who work for more than one year typically receive a return ticket home at the end of each year.  Your Geneva Consultant will be able to discuss this with you in more detail.

Single-Status Contracts

This is one that offers benefits to the employee only and is standard for Registered Nurses. Families unfortunately are not able to travel with you.

  • Return airfare from and to point-of-hire
  • Free, furnished accommodations (including utilities)
  • Healthcare coverage
  • Emergency dental coverage
  • Generous vacation time

Married-Status Contracts

This normally covers the employee, spouse, and two or four dependent children, depending on the position offered.  This type of contract is normally offered to Senior Medical Staff and Senior Management staff however your Geneva Consultant will be able to advise you on this.

  • Return airfare from and to point-of-hire for the employee and eligible dependents
  • Free, furnished accommodations (including utilities)
  • Healthcare coverage for the employee and eligible dependents
  • Emergency dental coverage for the employee and eligible dependents
  • Generous vacation time
  • Educational assistance for contract-eligible dependent children (as noted, two or four children, depending on position)

Other Benefits

The hospitals cover malpractice/liability insurance for clinical staff. Management staff and physicians are also allowed professional leave days and given a professional leave allowance, all of which offer further financial savings.

Those who work for more than one year typically receive a return ticket home at the end of each year.

Please Note: Always confirm with your recruiter the specific benefits pertaining to the position you are being offered.
