In the community

Our commitment to the community, the environment and sustainability

Historically, Lampen Group, Lampen Healthstaff and now Geneva Health have had a philosophy of active community involvement and participation.  The companies were the start up supporters of the Foundation for Drug and Alcohol Education and the Life Education Trust.  Roger Lampen has been Chairperson of both these Trusts.  He also initiated the Workchoice Trust and is its Chairperson and financial underwriter.

The Workchoice Trust assists secondary school pupils with work visits and experience programmes.  Many groups visit hospitals for career options.  Geneva Health is one of the major sponsors of the programme and actively participates in encouraging students to take up careers in nursing and in the health sector.  In May 2006, Roger Lampen was honoured at the Vero Excellence in Business Support Awards - named the overall winner of the 'individual' category for his outstanding contribution to business support in New Zealand.

Geneva Health has also provided sponsorship towards a community benefit programme known as 'Special Children's Christmas Party'. A day where over 2200 children with life threatening diseases, intellectual and physical disabilities, and underprivileged or disadvantaged children get to have fun with jumping castles, face painting, petting zoo, clowns plus lots of other entertainment.  The children also get to visit Santa's Cave filled with thousands of top quality gifts, personally meet Santa and receive 3 or 4 gifts to call their own.  An unforgettable day for all involved!

In 2009, Geneva Health was a sponsor of the Child Cancer Foundation - a national not-for-profit organisation that provides support to children and young people with cancer, and the health professionals involved in their care.

Geneva Health is an active member of the New Zealand Institute of Health Management and the Australian Health Service Executives.

Our Company is totally committed to being at the leading edge of personnel consulting practice.  Senior staff regularly attend international staffing and health industry specific conferences, and are involved in the Recruitment and Consulting Services Association (RCSA) on many different levels.  Roger Lampen is a Life Fellow of this Association and is a former International Vice President of CIETT, the international temporary staffing services association.
